about

Written in the town it name checks, a story about two-part harmony going sour when a third voice is added. Luckily that doesn't happen with Mike Sieger and Kelli Gonzalez adding their fine parts. P.S. The caption to the little 'toon got lost in the upload, it says, "I now pronounce you tenore and soprano."

lyrics

It's a Nashville two part tragedy
One part's you and the other is me
Preacher man told us we were man and wife
Can't get together now to save our lives

It's a Nashville two part tragedy
Our kind of hurtin' comes naturlly
Add another heart and honey that makes three
Just the kind of trouble that we don't need

I like two part harmony
The kind we were singing back in 1993

It's a Nashville two part tragedy
we're busy breaking hearts down in Tennessee
And any happy ending that we might have dreamed
Couldn't get much sadder than this one it seems

It's a Nashville two part tragedy
It's a Nashville two part tragedy
